If you are experiencing any difficulties with accessing notes, uploading notes, and/or missing notes, please contact Accessibility Services' Notetaking Team at as.notetaking@utoronto.ca.
How do I request notes?
On the note taking portal, you will need to indicate each course you require a volunteer notetaking in. To indicate that you require notetaking for a course, change “I require a notetaker” from “No” to “Yes”. An automatic email will be sent to the professor and they will make an in-class announcement.
If/when course notes are available, you will be able to see them on under the column that says “My Lecture Notes”.
No notes are available for my class, what should I do?
If no course notes are available, please reach out to the volunteer notetaking program at as.notetaking@utoronto.ca. AS Notetaking will be able to reach out to the professor to make another announcement. Additionally, AS notetaking can remind volunteers to upload notes, or seek out archived notes to supplement your course. There may be times when you will be re-directed to your Accessibility Advisor for other notetaking support.
What should I do if my notetaker stops uploading notes?
Please reach out to the volunteer notetaking program at as.notetaking@utoronto.ca. We can reach out to the volunteer notetaker to remind them to upload course notes, or if the notetaker is no longer available, we can reach out to the professor again to make another announcement.
What should I do if my professor does not make an announcement for volunteer notetaking?
Please reach out to as.notetaking@utoronto.ca. If the issue persists, please contact your Accessibility Advisor.
Are notes guaranteed?
As this is a volunteer program, peer notes are not guaranteed. AS Notetaking works with the volunteers and professors to do everything we can to have notes available. If/when notetaking cannot be provided, please speak to your Accessibility Advisor.
How do I request notes for a class that I am auditing?
To request volunteer notes for a course that you are auditing please contact as.notetaking@utoronto.ca.
